Pastor Ho preached to us on "How to defend our faith?" on Saturday. The scripture text was from Psalms 52. We will face questions by non-believers about our faith at some point of our life. However, we are not only supposed to tell the truth of Jesus Christ, but be a living testimony for Him.

1. We have the duty to defend our faith. 1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." Jude 3 commands us to earnestly contend for the faith.

2. God doesn't need us to guard the Word of God, but He wants us to be part of His ministry. It should not be so much a duty and responsibility, but a privilege and honour to defend our faith.

3. How to defend the faith is not to prove the existence of Jesus, but we must know what and why we believe.
Some doctrines that others attack or doubt:
- Humanity of Christ (John 12 - felt sadness, Matthew 8 - felt tired, Matthew 3 - felt hungry/thirsty, John 2 - felt anger)
- Deity of Christ (John 1:1, Hebrews 1, John 10, John 8)
- Virgin birth of Mary
- Resurrection

Hope you all learnt something from our last Ebenezer meeting of the year :) Let's end the year right and start next year well!
