Gospel Message – John 3:16 by A/P Yee Kin 3 July 10
· Gospel = good news that Christians have believed and want to pass on to their loved ones.
· Happiness with our family is short-lived but the good news that Christians have includes happiness that is permanent.
· The theme of the whole Bible is good news.
· John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
1. There is a God who made everything out of nothing. God is powerful, wise and holy. God has prepared a place called heaven for us. If we believe in God, our soul will go to heaven.
2. However, all of us are full of sin. Rom 3:23. God judges our heart not just our acts.
3. God is holy and cannot tolerate sin. But bcos His love for us is also unlimited, that’s why He sent His Son to come to this earth to die on the cross for our sins. In this way, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and He is the only way to heaven.
4. God has already paid for the gift with a high price. Are we going to accept it? =)

Nowadays this kind of message which says a person must deny self and follow Christ will become more and more unpopular.
Just like the days of Noah, Christ (5 loaves 2 fishes can feed 5 thousand plus), similar to business world - customer is KING.
But we don't know who will be the remnant receptive to the unpopular type of gospel we present.
